Another movie that highlights India’s caste system and the dichotomy between the upper and lower echelons of Indian society. Priyanka Chopra stars in this movie adapted from Aravind Adiga’s best selling novel “White Tiger”. For some reason, this movie just didn’t do it for me. Focal point of the movie is a young man, Balram (Adarsh Gourav), from the slums who gets an opportunity in the “city” to work as a driver/helper for a rich Indian family. He always garners a tinge of jealousy and entitlement that fosters itself on a very viscous scale. Mediocre acting, forced scenes and no real attachment to any of the characters made this a dud. Strong story yes but nothing seemed to bind together.
