Synopsis: A somewhat dark yet gripping drama about a family of four that decides to move to the summer resort area of the Ozarks in Missouri after the dad, Marty (Jason Bateman) finds himself in the middle of a money laundering scheme. He’s not a bad guy per se however while living in the Ozarks, he gets further involved in drugs and money that is bound to shatter his family and existence. Powerful acting by Jason Bateman and Laura Linney and breakout performance by Julia Garner, who plays Ruth, makes Ozark a must watch. The story is slow to build which might not be the liking of some viewers but that it done to solidify the character development.
