Synopsis: A British series revolving around a tough female cop, Catherine Cawood living in a small town in Yorkshire (UK), reeling over her daughter’s suicide and raising her grandson, Ryan. Her prime fear is the release from jail of Tommy Lee Royce, the man who raped her daughter and father of Ryan. She is afraid Tommy might try to locate and abduct Ryan which breeds into her constant paranoia. A parallel story develops concerning an accountant plotting to kidnap the daughter of his boss and ask for ransom, a la Fargo. The stories intertwine and make for a compelling crime, murder and sinister drama. A very good watch.
