Synopsis: Any superlatives used to describe Hamilton are not enough – exceeding all expectations – a rarity these days. One would have thought nothing could bring the real Broadway experience into our living rooms but Hamilton on Disney plus does just that! There have been previous go-arounds with Mary Poppins, Grease, Sound of Music but they all fell flat. Hamilton was a winner from start to finish!
It is all musical and rap done with teaching the audience history in the process. Performances by each and every character is phenomenal – including Alexander Hamilton, Eliza Hamilton, Angelica Schuyler, Thomas Jefferson, Aaron Burr and last but not least – the outrageous King George III! No need to be a history buff – this show will blow your socks off no matter your interests. Only things in life that are certain …. death, taxes and enjoying Hamilton! Well done Lin Manuel Miranda who not only played Hamilton – but wrote the script, music and lyrics!
