A heartwarming film about how a young girl copes living with her family of deaf parents and brother. Being the only one with normal hearing, she has to sacrifice parts of her own life in order to be there for her family. She is encouraged by a somewhat quirky music teacher who sees a hidden talent in her singing and advises her to branch out and look for greener pastures to fulfill her potential. She struggles with finding a balance between her own life and that of overcoming the challenges her family faces.
Set in an atypical sea town in New England, this movie evokes a myriad of emotions….sympathy, joy and surprisingly a fair bit of comedy.
A good watch on a rainy Sunday.
